We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead and scale our Cloud Practice focused on Telco's & Digital Services.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in cloud product development, multi-cloud architectures, automation, and partner-led ecosystems, with hands-on exposure to public, private, and hybrid cloud environments. Add-On Responsibilities & Exposure for SDx(Software Defined Everything), SD-WAN, uCPE(Universal Customer Premises Equipment) and MDSO(Multi-Domain Service Orchestrator) which needs focus on architectural alignment, solution integration, and presales enablement.
This is a practice-building role requiring the ability to design differentiated cloud offerings, work closely with internal and external partners, and support business growth through presales, solutioning, and delivery enablement. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between product development, strategic partnerships, and customer delivery. You will be responsible for driving the lifecycle of cloud productsfrom in-house automation and OEM collaboration to multi-cloud architecture design
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the Cloud Practice strategy by defining, building, and enhancing cloud products and service offerings across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Act as a Cloud SME for internal teams and customers, guiding architecture, design, and best practices.
- Lead cloud product development initiatives in collaboration with OEMs, hyperscalers, and in-house automation/orchestration platforms.
- Work closely with cross-practice teams including Security, Wireless, Wireline, Data Center, IoT, and UCC to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure cloud solutions are implemented efficiently, securely, and at scale.
- Coordinate with the Partnership Alliance team to build and manage strong, long-term relationships with global Cloud Service Providers (CSPs).
- OEM & SI Management: Identify, onboard, and maintain partnerships with key Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and System Integrators (SIs) to enhance the practice portfolio.
- Product Development: Drive the end-to-end development of cloud products by integrating in-house automation solutions with various partner technologies.
- Service Innovation: Stay ahead of market trends to develop and enhance cloud service offerings that meet evolving enterprise needs.
- Provide guidance for SDx, SD-WAN, uCPE, and MDSO solutions in conjunction with cloud and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Align cloud product roadmaps with SDx and network service portfolios to enable converged cloud-network offerings.
- Support development of cloud-native managed services for SD-WAN, uCPE, and MDSO environments
Customer Engagement
- Conduct cloud strategy workshops, architecture discussions, and transformation assessments.
- Understand customer business drivers and translate them into cloud-native, scalable, and cost-optimized solutions.
- Capture customer feedback and market insights to continuously refine cloud offerings.
- Participate in customer discussions for cloud, SDx, and network transformation converge
Presales and Solution Support
- Work closely with Sales, Presales, Solutions, and Delivery teams to support customer opportunities and POCs.
- Lead technical solutioning, architecture design, and proposal responses for cloud transformation initiatives.
- Support presales teams in solution design, technical validation, and RFP/RFI responses involving SD-WAN, SASE, uCPE, and MDSO.
- Participate in RFP/RFI responses, technical due diligence, and customer presentations.
- Design and validate POCs and pilot deployments across public and private cloud platforms.
Cloud Product & Automation Development
- Define and develop cloud products and reusable service components leveraging:
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Automation and orchestration platforms
- CI/CD and DevOps pipelines
- Work with in-house teams to integrate automation frameworks for provisioning, scaling, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure cloud offerings are aligned with cost optimization, performance, availability, and security best practices.
- Guide teams on lifecycle management, automation, and observability for virtualized network functions running on cloud platforms.
Technical Expertise
Strong Exposure To Virtualization & Cloud Platforms
- OpenStack, VMware, Nutanix, OpenShift/Kubernetes-based clouds, AWS, Azure, GCP, Telco Cloud
Strong Conceptual Understanding Of
- SD-WAN & SASE architectures
- uCPE and virtualized edge platforms
- SDN/NFV (VNF, CNF) fundamentals
- MDSO and service orchestration frameworks
Experience With
- Hybrid & multi-cloud architectures
- Cloud networking, storage, and compute services
- Cloud migration and modernization strategies
- Understanding of cloud governance, cost management (FinOps), resiliency, and observability.
- Familiarity with cloud-native technologies, containers, microservices, and APIs.
- Stay updated with emerging cloud trends and incorporate them into practice offerings
- Automation: Working knowledge of automation frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins) used in product development.
- Infrastructure Interconnect: Understanding of how cloud integrates with Data Centers, Wireless (5G/4G), and Wireline infrastructures.
- Experience in supporting software-defined networking, virtualized network services, or telco network transformation programs.
Qualifications And Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Experience - 15+ years of overall experience in Telecom / IT / Cloud domains.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in cloud architecture, solutioning, or cloud product development.
- Proven experience in presales, customer engagement, POCs, and solution design.
- Strong understanding of multi-cloud, hybrid cloud, and enterprise-scale cloud deployments.
- Understanding of network service lifecycle management across design, deploy, operate, and optimize phases.
- Exposure to telco OSS/BSS, service catalogs, and service assurance models
Skills
- Expertise in cloud computing architectures (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and migration strategies.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to turn technical features into business value propositions.
- Strong experience with cloud automation, IaC, and DevOps practices.
- Ability to work across multiple teams and influence stakeholders at senior levels.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience with service orchestration, service modeling, and automation concepts.
