Responsibilities
The Boiler Engineering Specialist will be responsible for comprehensive oversight of boiler engineering activities within thermal power projects. This role involves leadership in design, development, operation, and troubleshooting of boiler systems, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards aligned with Adani's culture of responsibility and excellence. Key responsibilities include: - Leading the engineering design and development of boiler systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and compliance with thermal project requirements. - Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams including civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineering to ensure seamless integration of boiler systems with overall plant infrastructure. - Overseeing the selection, specification, and procurement of boiler components and materials, ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality standards. - Driving the implementation of innovative technologies and best practices to enhance boiler efficiency, reduce emissions, and optimize fuel consumption. - Supervising commissioning and start-up activities of boilers, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols, testing standards, and operational procedures. - Establishing and maintaining preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and extend the lifecycle of boiler equipment. - Conducting root cause analysis for boiler-related issues and leading corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve system reliability. - Ensuring compliance with national and international boiler codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards, fostering a culture of safety and sustainability. - Preparing detailed technical reports, manuals, and documentation related to boiler operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. - Mentoring and developing junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing work environment. - Engaging with suppliers, contractors, and vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality boiler systems and services. - Driving continuous improvement initiatives in boiler engineering processes and practices, aligned with Adani's commitment to innovation and operational excellence. - Supporting audits, inspections, and risk assessments related to boiler systems and ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively. - Championing Adani's core values of integrity, innovation, inclusion, and sustainability in all engineering activities and team interactions. - Collaborating closely with project management and business teams to align boiler engineering objectives with broader organizational goals and growth plans. - Leading efforts in energy efficiency improvements and emission reduction strategies as part of Adani's sustainability commitments.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from a recognized university. - Master's Degree or specialized courses in Thermal Engineering or Power Plant Engineering will be an advantage.
