Deputy General Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Analyze reports to assess productivity, identify areas for cost improvement, and enhance overall profitability.
• Prepare and review detailed reports on market trends, competitor pricing, and merchandise cost structures.
• Formulate and execute cost-reduction strategies and develop long-term savings plans aligned with company goals.
• Evaluate market conditions and delivery systems to determine present and future availability of materials and products.
• Actively participate in the development of product specifications and sourcing of alternative materials when required.
• Lead the procurement process and ensure compliance with internal purchasing and contract management policies and procedures.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, maintaining strong vendor relationships while securing competitive pricing and terms.
• Monitor budgets, control expenditures, and oversee the product ordering process with a focus on minimizing waste and maximizing returns.
• Contribute to business planning and assist senior management in implementing strategic initiatives.
