Job Description

Responsibilities

Category Strategy & Ownership (O&M)

  • Own end‑to‑end TC procurement for O&M categories, including:
    • Mechanical, Electrical & Utility spares
    • Critical equipment spares (cell/module lines, utilities, HVAC, compressors, chillers, etc.)
    • AMCs, breakdown maintenance, shutdown services
    • Consumables, safety & reliability‑critical items
  • Develop and execute category strategies aligned with plant reliability, lifecycle cost, and expansion needs.
Techno‑Commercial Procurement

  • Lead RFQ/RFP/RFIs, technical evaluations, and commercial negotiations.
  • Drive L1/L2 evaluations, total cost of ownership (TCO), and should‑costing.
  • Partner with Engineering & Maintenance teams to freeze technical specs without over‑engineering.

Vendor Development & Governance

  • Identify, qualify, and onboard OEMs, authorized dealers, and service partners.
  • Reduce dependence on single-source vendors for critical spares.
  • Manage rate contracts, long‑term agreements (LTAs), and AMCs.
  • Conduct regular vendor performance reviews (quality, delivery, response time, cost).

Cost Optimization & Savings

  • Drive cost reductions through localization, alternate sourcing, negotiation, and standardization.
  • Track and report category‑wise savings, avoidance, and efficiency gains.
  • Support make‑vs‑buy and repair‑vs‑replace decisions.

Plant Support & Reliability

  • Ensure availability of critical spares to avoid production losses.
  • Support planned shutdowns, overhauls, and expansion projects from a procurement perspective.
  • Work closely with O&M teams to resolve breakdown‑related urgent procurements.

Governance, Compliance & Systems

  • Ensure compliance with Adani procurement policies, delegation of authority (DOA), and audit requirements.
  • Manage lifecycle of PR‑to‑PO through SAP / ERP systems.
  • Maintain clean documentation for audits and statutory compliance.

Qualifications

Education

  • B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering
  • MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain or Operations – Preferred

Experience

  • 10–15 years of experience in TC / Strategic Procurement, with strong exposure to O&M categories
  • Mandatory experience in manufacturing environments (solar, semiconductor, electronics, power, metals, or process industries preferred)
