Position: Deputy Director (Centre for Distance & Online Education)
Role Overview:
The Deputy Director will provide strategic and operational leadership across all academic and administrative functions of the Centre. This role ensures the effective delivery of distance and online education programs in compliance with UGC guidelines, while maintaining high academic standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead program development and delivery aligned with UGC regulations
- Oversee admissions, outreach, and marketing initiatives
- Supervise the conduct of live and recorded classes
- Ensure seamless integration and utilization of ERP and University Management Systems (UMS)
- Collaborate with university departments to maintain quality in online and distance education
- Manage academic operations and administrative processes efficiently.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Currently serving as an Associate Professor or Professor at a recognized university
- Ph.D. preferred
- Minimum 8 years of experience in higher education
- At least 3 years in academic leadership, preferably in distance or online education
- Strong understanding of UGC regulations for distance and online programs
- Demonstrated experience in academic administration, digital learning platforms, and UMS operations
