What you'll do
- Deploy microsegmentation solutions at enterprise client sites - primarily banks, PSUs, and large conglomerates. A typical deployment runs 3-6 months depending on client size and environment complexity.
- You'll work directly with the client's infrastructure and security teams to understand their environment, map application dependencies, install agents across servers and workloads, baseline traffic flows, design segmentation policies, execute staged rollout from visibility to enforcement mode, and validate that production applications remain unaffected post-enforcement. You'll handle both data center and cloud environments (AWS, Azure), and for OT clients, deploy Gatekeeper appliances with proper routing and network integration.
- Post-deployment, you'll provide L2 technical support - troubleshooting agent offline issues, resolving platform misconfigurations, assisting with policy updates, and handling new asset onboarding and decommissioning. When clients migrate workloads from data center to cloud, you'll migrate their security policies to maintain the same level of protection.
Experience & Skills:
For the Senior Deployment Engineer (Lead):
- 8-10 years in network security and networking
- Strong networking fundamentals - you understand how firewalls work, how routing and switching work, how traffic flows between VLANs, subnets, and zones. If someone says east-west traffic, you know exactly what they mean
- Experience deploying security solutions at enterprise scale - firewalls (Palo Alto, Check Point, FortiGate, Cisco), network segmentation, or endpoint security platforms. You've done 3+ month implementation projects with 100+ devices or endpoints
- Client-facing communication - you can explain technical concepts to a bank's IT team, present deployment progress to the CISO, and write clear status reports. This is non-negotiable. A brilliant engineer who can't talk to clients is not the right fit
- Ability to see the big picture - you understand not just what you're implementing, but why. You can explain how microsegmentation fits into the client's overall security architecture, how it addresses their regulatory obligations, and what happens when traffic flows from point A through to point D
- Experience with both Windows and Linux environments - troubleshooting OS-level issues, understanding how agents interact with the operating system, and resolving conflicts with existing security tools
- Based in Mumbai or willing to relocate to Mumbai. Client sites are primarily in Mumbai with travel across India as needed
Nice to have: Experience with microsegmentation platforms (ColorTokens, Illumio, Guardicore, VMware NSX). OT/ICS networking knowledge. Cloud security experience (AWS VPC, Azure NSGs).
