Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Department Manager to join Reliance Retails team in Bagalkot, Bidar, or Kalaburgi. This is a full-time, mid-level role for professionals with up to 6 years of relevant work experience. As Department Manager, you will be responsible for driving retail operations, ensuring optimal store performance, and leading a customer-focused team.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Retail Operations (Mandatory skill): Proven expertise in managing daily retail activities, optimizing sales performance, and coordinating with multiple teams for efficient operations.
  • Store operation: Extensive experience in handling store-level initiatives, ensuring adherence to processes, and achieving service excellence benchmarks.
  • Shrinkage control: Demonstrated ability to implement measures to minimize losses, review inventory discrepancies, and enforce company policies.
  • Strategic Planning: Adept at preparing and executing short-term and long-term plans that contribute to profitability and growth in a highly competitive retail environment.
  • Team Leadership: Capable of motivating, coaching, and supervising staff members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
  • Budget Management: Skilled in managing departmental budgets, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring cost efficiencies across operations.
  • Inventory Management: Proficient in overseeing inventory processes, maintaining accurate stock levels, and troubleshooting supply chain challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Supervise overall operations of the assigned department, ensuring high standards of customer service and operational efficiency at all times.
  • Lead, train, and motivate team members to achieve departmental targets, maintain discipline, and drive a productive work environment.
  • Monitor inventory levels, oversee replenishment activities, address shrinkage issues, and implement loss prevention measures.
  • Develop action plans for store growth, create relevant business reports, and analyze sales trends for improved results.
  • Execute strategic merchandising initiatives and visual displays to maximize footfall and enhance customer engagement.
  • Manage departmental budgets, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and process guidelines across all operations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, effectively resolve complaints, and deliver an unmatched shopping experience.
