Job Summary:

As a Body shop Technician, you are the specialist for work on vehicle bodies and interiors. Thanks to your experience, you are familiar with all repair and maintenance operations that directly affect the body. You perform simple straightening, separation, and joining work on accident vehicles and repair damage to the windows. After consultation with the paint shop, you prepare surfaces for painting and then implement comprehensive corrosion protection and preservation measures after painting. You follow the manufacturer's specifications, accident prevention regulations, statutory

provisions, as well as warranty and goodwill regulations in all your work. Your key responsibilities are:

• Performing damage diagnoses on accident vehicles.
  
• Performing repair work on body parts
  
• Determining the scope of required replacement parts and arranging an order in cooperation with group leaders /
  

Specialists / Foreman.

• Checking the functional reliability of the main components and systems under dynamic test conditions.
  
• Checking that adjustments and gaps are within the specified dimensions.
  
• Carrying out function and quality checks to ensure the sustainability of the repair.
  
• Performing a final inspection of the repaired vehicle as regards degree of fulfillment of the repairs, roadworthiness and functional reliability.
  
• Accident prevention regulations are known and consistently applied in daily work.
  
• Using current service literature on electronic media in order to generate diagnoses.
  
• In cooperation with the workshop management, initiating orders for special tools for the diagnosis and repair of body specific systems.

You possess knowledge of modern separation and joining methods, as well as the tools required for this.

You are familiar with accident prevention regulations and consistently observe them.

You possess knowledge of body materials, particularly new materials, as well as corrosion prevention measures.

You can perform simple and complex repairs under the supervision of body and paint shop Foreman.

You can install and remove equipment and detachable components.

Diagnosis competence

You possess knowledge on how to diagnose damage in accident bodies.

Qualification & Experience:

An ITI trade Sheet Metal / Welder

Minimum 5 years experience as a body shop technician in a premium segment brand.
