Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based at The Oberoi, Bengaluru. The Demi Chef De Partie supports the Chef De Partie in daily kitchen operations, including preparation, cooking, and presentation of breads according to brand standards. Responsibilities include maintaining mise en place, following recipes and portion controls, and ensuring consistency in taste and appearance across all assigned sections. The role involves monitoring food quality, adhering to hygiene and safety regulations, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. The Demi Chef De Partie collaborates with the culinary team, helps train junior team members, and contributes ideas for menu improvements while ensuring timely service during breakfast, lunch, and dinner operations.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques, with experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen sanitation practices, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work area.
- Ability to follow recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines, with attention to detail and consistency in quality.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with chefs and service teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks, support service during peak hours, and meet deadlines.
- Formal culinary education or certification from a recognized institute is preferred; relevant on-the-job experience will also be considered.
