Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Demi Chef De Partie specializing in Tandoor cuisine. Based on-site at Srinagar, the responsibilities include assisting in the preparation and cooking of tandoor dishes, following standard recipes and maintaining high-quality food presentation. The role involves ensuring kitchen hygiene standards, collaborating with the culinary team, monitoring stock levels of tandoor-specific ingredients, and providing support for special events or high-volume service requirements. The Demi Chef De Partie will also assist in training junior staff to reinforce professional techniques.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Tandoor cooking techniques and experience with traditional tandoor equipment
  • Knowledge of culinary preparation, seasoning, and presentation of traditional and modern Indian cuisines
  • Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and storage standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment while meeting deadlines effectively
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain a clean workspace consistently
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a high-standard restaurant, hotel, or equivalent establishment
  • Certificate or diploma in culinary arts or a related field is preferred
  • Passion for learning and openness to feedback to continually improve culinary skills
