Job Description

  • Reports To: SVP Customer Success

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to serve as the Delivery Manager in a player-coach role. This individual will be responsible for leading a team of software professionals while actively participating in client engagements and project delivery. The ideal candidate will combine strategic leadership with hands-on Project Management expertise to ensure the successful implementation of Artificial Intelligence software solutions that meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Software Engineers, Quality Engineers, Business Analysts, and Project Managers.
  • Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture, focusing on professional development and continuous learning.
  • Set clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.

Client Engagement & Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns.
  • Work closely with sales teams to understand client requirements and propose solutions leveraging Vassar Digital's Connected Enterprise solution.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to drive repeat business and referrals.

Project Delivery:

  • Ensure successful client implementations with a focus on achieving client business goals and referenceable clients.
  • Actively participate in the management of complex software implementation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Oversee the execution of multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Ensure project management methodologies and best practices are followed across all engagements.

  • Strategic Planning & Process Improvement:
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Delivery department.
  • Collaborate with other Sales and Engineering to align services with overall company goals.
  • Continuously assess and improve project management methodologies, tools, and processes.

Hands-On Project Management:

  • Take an active role in managing key client projects, including project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Lead project kickoff meetings, define project scope, and establish timelines and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.
  • Perform the Scrum Master role for the project scrum team.

Technical Leadership:

  • Participate in or lead software architecture design and other technical tasks as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to provide cutting-edge solutions to clients.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide guidance to the team.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within software or IT services.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale software implementation projects and leading professional services teams.
  • Strong background in project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience with Agile development and Scaled Agile Framework.
  • Background in software development preferred.
