Delivery Manager-Java Solution aRCHITECT

Job Purpose

The Solution Architect will design, govern, and implement enterprise-scale Event Driven Architecture (EDA), Java Microservices, and integration solutions within Capital Markets environments. The role is responsible for defining architecture standards, API governance, event models, interface contracts, enterprise integration patterns, and architecture governance processes. The architect will work closely with business, product, engineering, and data teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and business-aligned solutions supporting FX, Swaps, OTC Derivatives, and trade lifecycle processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solutions leveraging Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) and Microservices.
• Define application interaction patterns across Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, Finance, Operations, and Reporting platforms.
• Establish standards for event-driven systems, service decomposition, Domain Driven Design (DDD), API-first development, workflow orchestration, and real-time processing.
• Create target-state architecture blueprints and technology roadmaps.
• Define enterprise event models and integration standards using ApacheKafka.
• Design topic taxonomy, event schemas, message standards, partitioning strategies, replay mechanisms, versioning, and consumer patterns.
• Establish standards for event sourcing, retry processing, idempotency, schema evolution, resiliency patterns, and deadletter handling.
• Review and approve solution and integration designs across delivery teams.
• Define API governance standards, OpenAPI specifications, API versioning, authentication, security, and lifecycle management.
• Produce and govern Interface Control Documents (ICDs), service contracts, sequence diagrams, interaction models, and architecture documentation.
• Drive implementation of ISDA CDM-aligned business event and trade lifecycle models.
• Support integration between operational platforms and Databricks analytics environments.
• Conduct architecture reviews and design assurance activities.
• Define and enforce engineering standards and architecture principles.
• Maintain architecture repositories, reference architectures, and governance artifacts.
• Identify and mitigate architecture risks and technical debt.
  
  

Key competencies

• Strong Solution Architecture experience in enterprise environments.
• Expertise in Event-Driven Architecture and Distributed Systems.
• Deep knowledge of Apache Kafka ecosystem and enterprise messaging.
• Strong Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud experience.
• Strong API Architecture and Integration Design expertise.
• Experience creating OpenAPI specifications, ICDs, service contracts, and architecture artifacts.
• Strong understanding of Capital Markets trade lifecycle processes.
• Experience with architecture governance and design reviews.
• Exposure to Databricks and analytics platform integration.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
• Ability to translate complex business workflows into scalable technical solutions.
