Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Delivery Manager with 15+ years of experience in the IT Services industry, specialising in large-scale Data Engineering and Data Transformation programs. The ideal candidate should possess strong delivery leadership capabilities across DataStage, Snowflake, and Kafka-based ecosystems, with proven experience managing multimillion-dollar accounts and driving customer success.

This role requires ownership of end-to-end delivery management, P&L accountability, stakeholder engagement, program governance, customer relationship management, and leadership of distributed delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery & Program Management

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise-scale Data Engineering, Data Migration, Data Modernization, and Analytics programs.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects/programs involving technologies such as IBM DataStage, Snowflake, Kafka, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Ensure successful delivery within scope, timelines, quality benchmarks, and budget commitments.
  • Establish delivery governance frameworks, KPIs, SLAs, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Drive agile and hybrid delivery methodologies across cross-functional teams.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with customers.
  • Build strong customer relationships, ensuring high CSAT and long-term strategic engagement.
  • Manage escalations proactively and ensure timely resolution of delivery and operational issues.
  • Participate in strategic discussions, roadmap planning, and transformation initiatives with clients.

Financial & P&L Management

  • Own and manage a minimum $5 Million+ P&L portfolio/account.
  • Drive revenue growth, profitability, margin optimization, and resource utilization.
  • Forecast budgets, manage financial planning, and monitor project/account profitability.
  • Support business development, solutioning, estimations, and presales activities.

Team Leadership & Resource Management

  • Lead and mentor large global delivery teams comprising project managers, architects, developers, QA teams, and support personnel.
  • Drive resource planning, competency development, succession planning, and performance management.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and customer-centric culture.
  • Manage onsite-offshore delivery models effectively.

Technical & Domain Oversight

  • Provide strategic oversight for data platform implementations and modernization programs.
  • Ensure best practices in:
  • IBM DataStage
  • Snowflake
  • Kafka/Event Streaming
  • ETL/ELT frameworks
  • Data Warehousing & Data Lakes
  • Cloud Data Platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Data Governance & Data Quality
  • Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to drive scalable and resilient solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory Skills

  • 15+ years of experience in IT Services/Consulting industry.
  • Strong experience managing large-scale Data Engineering/Data Transformation programs.
  • Hands-on background or strong understanding of:
  • IBM DataStage
  • Snowflake
  • Kafka
  • Proven experience managing $5 Million+ P&L/account portfolios.
  • Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management experience.
  • Experience conducting executive governance meetings, weekly reviews, and QBRs.
  • Expertise in delivery governance, risk management, and operational excellence.
  • Experience managing global onsite-offshore teams.

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
  • Knowledge of modern data architectures and real-time data processing.
  • Presales and solutioning experience.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • MBA or PMP certification is a plus.
