Delivery Manager-Aladdin Data Cloud Engineer

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Aladdin Data Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable, cloud-native data platforms supporting the BlackRock Aladdin ecosystem. This role combines Data Engineering, Snowflake, Cloud Engineering, and Platform Engineering to deliver robust data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and data-serving capabilities. The successful candidate will work across the data and cloud stack to enable secure, resilient, and high-performance investment data solutions that support portfolio management, risk, and investment operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and integrations within the Aladdin Data Cloud ecosystem.
• Build and optimize scalable data solutions using Snowflake and cloud-native technologies.
• Develop ETL/ELT frameworks for ingesting, transforming, and distributing investment and market data.
• Integrate Aladdin data with enterprise data warehouses, data lakes, analytics platforms, and downstream applications.
• Implement data quality, governance, lineage, security, and observability frameworks.
• Develop APIs and data services to enable access to portfolio, risk, security master, and reference data.
• Collaborate with investment operations, portfolio management, risk, and technology teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and support production data platforms and critical business workflows.
• Drive automation, platform reliability, performance tuning, and operational excellence.
  
  

Maintain technical documentation and support best practices for data engineering and platform operations

Key competencies

Required Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Finance, or related field
• 8+ years of experience with Data Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Investment Technology
• 2+ years of experience with Aladdin, Aladdin Data Cloud, or asset management platforms
• Strong understanding of Investment Management, Portfolio & Position Data, Risk Analytics, Security Master, Reference Data, Market Data, and Investment Operations
• Hands-on experience with BlackRock Aladdin / Aladdin Data Cloud
• Expertise in Snowflake (Architecture, Data Modeling, Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks, Performance Tuning, Data Sharing).
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices.
  
  

Nice to have Skills:

• Experience with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, or similar data engineering tools.
• Familiarity with financial data providers such as Bloomberg, FactSet, MSCI, ICE, or Refinitiv.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and real-time/event-driven architectures.
• Experience working in Agile environments
