Job Summary
We are seeking a transformative and execution-driven leader to serve as Leader of Data & AI Engineering. This role will oversee a multidisciplinary team of 50 professionals, including data engineers, analysts, enterprise BI developers, and AI/ML engineers. The Leader will be responsible for driving innovation, operational excellence, and strategic alignment across data platforms, analytics capabilities, and AI/ML initiatives. This leader will play a pivotal role in modernizing our data ecosystem, enabling scalable AI solutions, and delivering business value through data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams across data engineering, analytics, BI, and AI/ML.
- Translate enterprise data and AI strategy into actionable roadmaps for the Hyderabad team.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Data Engineering & Analytics
- Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines.
- Drive modernization of legacy data systems using cloud-native technologies (AWS, Snowflake, dbt).
- Ensure robust metadata management and data quality practices across platforms.
Enterprise BI Development
- Lead the development and optimization of enterprise BI solutions using tools like Tableau and Power BI.
- Partner with business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and self-service analytics capabilities.
- Ensure semantic layer integration and data portal usability for business users.
AI/ML Engineering
- Collaborate with AI engineering teams to build and maintain AI-ready data pipelines.
- Support development of knowledge graphs, model lifecycle automation, and agentic AI capabilities.
- Ensure integration with AI gateways and APIs for seamless deployment of models.
- MUST have experience delivering AI agentic and GenAI solutions in production at scale.
- MUST have experience in the establishment and delivery of knowledge graph for AI consumption of enterprise data assets.
Governance, Compliance & Security
- Embed data governance, privacy, and compliance standards into engineering workflows.
- Partner with cybersecurity and enterprise architecture teams to ensure secure data practices.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with product, infrastructure, and business teams to align data and AI initiatives with enterprise goals.
- Represent the Hyderabad team in global forums and contribute to enterprise-wide transformation efforts.
Qualifications
Experience
- 12+ years in data engineering, analytics, or AI/ML, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
Education
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field; Master's preferred.
Technical Skills
- Cloud: AWS (required), Azure/GCP (preferred)
- Data: Snowflake, dbt, Databricks, Python, SQL
- BI: Tableau, Power BI
AI/ML: ML Ops, CICD, APIs, agentic platforms
