Job Purpose

Drive the execution and adoption of data classification policies within business units by embedding governance practices into operational workflows, ensuring data is accurately classified, accessible, and compliant with enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities

◼ Execute data classification activities within business units, ensuring policies are consistently applied across day-to day operations.

◼ Validate classification outputs in real-world scenarios to ensure accuracy, usability, and business relevance.

◼ Identify sensitive and high-value data within business workflows and ensure appropriate labelling is applied.

◼ Perform stewardship routines including issue triage, approvals, and escalation of classification exceptions.

◼ Drive user adoption through training, communication, and development of SOPs and guidance materials.

Key competencies

◼ Candidates should have a B.E./B.Tech/MCA/MBA in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field

◼ Demonstrates strong understanding of business processes and data lifecycle across creation, usage, and sharing.

◼ Possesses hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 tools and data handling practices.

◼ Exhibits attention to detail with the ability to validate and improve classification outcomes.

◼ Demonstrates proficiency in classification tools such as Microsoft Purview, along with mandatory experience working with AI-based platforms like Lightbeam AI.

◼ Demonstrates strong communication and user engagement skills to drive adoption.

◼ Analytical problem‑solving mindset with the ability to break down complex issues into actionable steps.
