Role: Delivery Director
Role Overview:
As the Director of Delivery, the candidate will be the offshore delivery Point of Contact for client managers/executives and Opteamix Sales team, on all delivery-related matters. The candidate will be responsible for the delivery, quality, people and client delight, process compliance, and daily operations of his / her assigned client projects.
They are expected to develop and execute a delivery management plan aligning to the agreed-upon growth goals as per the baselined Global Account Management Plan.
The candidate is expected to work out of the Bangalore office constantly collaborating with the Program Manager, Sales team to achieve client delight, mitigate any competition risk and develop the organization's competence. This role will be reporting to the Senior Vice President or Vice President.
Responsibilities and Duties
Delivery management
- Adherence to the committed timelines for all the project deliverables through efficient planning and effective monitoring and tracking
- Accountable for quality of deliverables and ensuring no defects are found in UAT and production.
- Ensuring that the project is 100% compliance to the pre-defined SDLC process and the identified metrics pertaining to schedule, quality, effort and cost
- Ensuring that the best practices pertaining to all SDLC activities are implemented and followed
- Ensuring zero deviation in providing the status report to all stakeholders
- Technically leading the team for project execution
People Management
- Manage and provide consultant care for offshore delivery members.
- Work with the managers to ensure all the offshore delivery members follow the guidelines and provide quality service.
- Provide mentorship to project managers and team members and ensure their growth within Opteamix.
- Continuously engage with the employee well-being team to proactively address team members concern and minimize attrition.
- Ensure that all the team members are compliant with the process pertaining to performance management, time sheets, hybrid working and office timings
Revenue projections compliance
- Minimize revenue loss through
- Maximum per person hour utilization
- Optimized shadow management while encouraging managers to include junior and freshers in the engagement
- Collaborate closely with recruitment, client and program managers to prevent position loss and time lost in filling positions.
- Work with finance and track the revenue against projections and work with relevant stakeholders to identify options for reducing the variance
- Adherence to the agreed-upon norms/SLAs, managing the SOWs with the Program Manager, and seamless resource onboarding.
Relationship Management
- Relationship management with client representatives and ensuring continuous growth through operational efficiency, effective communication.
- Relationship Management with other stakeholders, client business sponsors and PMs, to ensure client delight with our existing delivery.
- Periodic meetings with all relevant client stakeholders.
Strategic programs
- Work with Opteamix leadership and sales team to present our capabilities to client leaders and identify new opportunities in Artificial Intelligence and other Opteamix services
- Support the initiation of new assignments and identify relevant leaders at Opteamix to lead such initiatives.
- Lead the technical centers of excellence and practices at Opteamix to ensure continuous improvement in the organization capability and also develop new competence.
Operations
- Defining /improvising, owning, and authoritatively managing all required Opteamix internal processes / functions to support client engagement, including:
- Having dialogues with internal staff and clients for improvements using data.
- Providing clear Resource Requests to recruitment team.
- SOWs
- Initiation, coordination, review and submission to clients along with Sales Team
- Client onboarding coordination of new project teams
- Timesheet
- Ensure that timesheets are submitted on-time and Timely Approvals from client managers.
Qualifications
- Candidates must have a Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science / information science or a related field.
- The candidate must have 12 Plus years of experience in IT and must have played a leadership role in delivery management for the past 3+ years, managing a team of at least 30 people.
- This role requires strong Technical, Project, Program Management and Business Analysis skills with large teams.
- Candidates must have extensive experience in managing clients and managing huge teams at enterprise level.
- Candidates should possess an excellent knowledge of technology and be familiar with the principles and best practices related to all software development activities.
- Candidate must be familiar with latest technology trends pertaining to AI
- Excellent presentation, communication, and writing skills are essential.
