Job Description

Delivery Manager Years of Experience: 18-22 Years Location: Hyderabad

Job Summary: Experienced Delivery Manager with preferred in the BFSI sector and a solid understanding of account management.

Delivery Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful, end-to-end delivery of services to assigned customer in alignment with agreed service levels, contractual commitments, and business objectives. This role serves as the primary interface between the client and internal delivery teams, with accountability for Account delivery, service quality, client satisfaction, operational performance, and continuous improvement.

Experience partnering with or working within Global Capability Centers (GCCs) is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of BFSI accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, and managing project timelines and resources effectively. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a proven track record in managing client relationships and project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery accountability of accounts and Lead the delivery of projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards.
  • Manage project scopes, budgets, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies, ensuring alignment with SLA/KPI commitments.
  • Manage and nurture client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for account management.
  • Proactively manage escalations, turn complex delivery challenges into constructive conversations, and build long-term trust.
  • Partner with account management teams to identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities through excellent delivery execution
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Mentor and lead high-performing, distributed engineering teams (Developers, QA, Architects, Product Managers).
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates to stakeholders. Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate communication between clients and internal teams to ensure clarity and alignment on project goals.
  • Mentor and lead high-performing, distributed engineering teams (Developers, QA, Architects, Project Managers).
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in BFSI to provide innovative solutions to clients.

Required Skills

  • Experience: 1822 years in IT, with at least 6+ years in a dedicated Delivery Management or Program Management role.
  • Experience partnering with or working within Global Capability Centers (GCCs) is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in account management, with a strong ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Extensive experience in project management, particularly in the BFSI industry.
  • Strong, verifiable experience delivering software solutions within the BFSI industry (e.g., Banking, Payments, Digital Lending, or Insurance).
  • A solid technical background (e.g., starting career as a Software Engineer, Tech Lead) in modern tech stacks (Java/Spring Boot, .NET, Mobile Development, Cloud/AWS/Azure, Microservices, or DevOps).
  • Deep expertise in Agile/Scaled Agile (SAFe), Scrum, and modern CI/CD delivery pipelines.
  • Exceptional negotiation, conflict resolution, and executive-level communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Prior experience managing enterprise or strategic/large programs preferred
  • 18-22 years of experience in project management and account management, preferably in the BFSI sector.
  • Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile/Scaled Agile (SAFe)) are highly desirable.
