Responsibilities :--
1. Defect Lifecycle Management: The Defect Manager is responsible for managing the entire defect lifecycle, from discovery to closure. This includes logging defects, categorizing them, and ensuring they are addressed in a timely manner.
2. Collaboration and Communication: Acting as a liaison between development teams and stakeholders, the Defect Manager facilitates communication regarding defect status, priorities, and resolutions. This role is crucial for maintaining transparency and ensuring that all parties are informed.
3. Defect Tracking and Reporting: Utilizing defect tracking tools, the Defect Manager monitors defect metrics, generates reports on defect status, and provides insights into the overall quality of the software. This helps in identifying trends and areas for improvement.
4. Process Improvement: The Defect Manager analyzes defect data to identify root causes and implement process improvements aimed at reducing the occurrence of defects in future releases. This proactive approach enhances software quality and reliability.
5. Team Coordination: The Defect Manager coordinates with testing and development teams to prioritize defect resolution based on severity and impact, ensuring that critical issues are addressed first.
