The Wedding Company is a tech-enabled wedding planning platform helping couples design, plan, and execute their dream weddings with ease and confidence. From venues to decor, photography to entertainment, makeup to mehendi - we bring everything under one roof, backed by a curated network of 2,000+ trusted vendors across cities.

Executing weddings across geographies, budget brackets, and unique client preferences requires exceptional digital and offline capabilities. Weddings are a single-take service, there are no second chances, and come with a unique set of operational challenges.

In just 18 months, we have:

  • Curated a network of 2,000+ vetted vendors across 8+ destinations (India & Thailand)
  • Planned & executed 400+ weddings worth ₹120+ crore in total service value
  • Become operationally profitable (as of Oct 2024) while serving weddings in the ₹10 lakh - ₹5 crore range
  • Raised ₹8 crore ($1M) in pre-seed funding from marquee investors including LVX, Tremis Capital, and Dropbox Co-founder Arash Ferdowsi

Key Responsibilities

  • Support client discovery by reviewing call notes and structuring inputs into clear design, budget, and logistics requirements.
  • Assist in creating initial decor moodboards using internal libraries, past wedding references, and vendor catalogues.
  • Organise and tag decor references by theme, budget tier, and event type.
  • Prepare first-draft quotations using approved pricing tools and cost matrices, and cross-check for completeness and budget fit.
  • Support creation and sharing of proposal decks, moodboards, and quotations with clients.
  • Track client responses, approvals, feedback loops, and payment milestones in internal trackers.
  • Capture client feedback and share learnings on objections, winning themes, and pricing patterns with the Category and Sales teams.

Required Skills & Profile

  • Strong interest in weddings, decor, events, or design-led businesses
  • Good visual sense and basic understanding of aesthetics
  • Clear communication (written & verbal)
  • Comfortable working with Google Sheets, Docs, Slides
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented
  • Willingness to learn and take feedback quickly

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

Background in:

  • Event management
  • Design / architecture / fashion
  • Hospitality or sales internships
  • Familiarity with Pinterest, Instagram, Canva, or moodboarding tools

Internship Details

  • Location: Bangalore (Hybrid / Office-based depending on team needs)
  • Duration: 2 months, extendable
  • Reporting To: Decor Sales Consultant / Senior Category Manager
  • Growth Path: High-performing interns can be considered for:
  • Junior Decor Sales Executive
  • Decor Category / Design roles
