Job Description :
Mandatory Skills :
- Deep understanding of IP, TCP, UDP, SSL/TLS protocols
- Well versed in DNS and the various resource record types and along with their purpose
- Experience with supporting clustered database solutions such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Knowledgeable in administering Linux hosted services using system
- Experience administering Postfix mail servers Mandatory Desired
- Working knowledge of Debian Package Manager (dpkg) and APT
- This should be a part of core skill set
- Working knowledge of Chef Mandatory
- Working knowledge of Apache/Nginx
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills
- Self-starter with a willingness to learn new technologies and processes
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues quickly and completely
- Solid understanding of Linux to include but notlimited to paging and swapping, inter-process communications, system performance analysis, and installation Mandatory
- Ability to program in scripting languages, including Perl and/or Python and/or Bash in order to automate system administration tasks and improve efficiency within the team
- Must be customer and result oriented.
Desired Skills :
- Knowledge of Elastic Search, RabbitMQ, GrayLog, Tomcat, Java
- Experience in designing and maintaining highly available systems leveraging solutions such a clustering and load balanced server farms
- Experience with managing server infrastructure in Amazon Web Services
- Experience working on a globally distributed team
- Ability to be adaptable and comfortable with reprioritizing current workload at a moment's notice
- Knowledge with anti-SPAM and anti-Virus solutions for Linux mail servers
- Experience with Chef for automating serves deployments and other administration tasks.
