About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary academic leader for the position of Dean - Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) for a prominent higher education institution. The role involves providing strategic leadership to the School of Engineering, driving academic excellence, fostering research and innovation, strengthening industry partnerships, and enhancing student outcomes in alignment with the University's mission and growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Computer Science & Engineering programs.
- Drive curriculum development and modernization in line with emerging technologies and industry requirements.
- Promote excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and student engagement.
- Lead accreditation, quality assurance, and academic governance initiatives.
- Strengthen industry collaborations for internships, projects, placements, consultancy, and research partnerships.
- Foster a culture of interdisciplinary learning, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
- Mentor and support faculty development, research publications, patents, and funded projects.
- Ensure continuous improvement in student outcomes, employability, and academic performance.
- Represent the School at academic, industry, and professional forums.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- Master's Degree with an outstanding academic record.
- Strong track record of research publications, funded projects, patents, and academic contributions.
- Demonstrated experience in academic administration, strategic planning, and institutional development.
Preferred Experience
- 15+ years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration in higher education.
- Experience in senior academic leadership positions such as Dean, Director, Professor, Associate Dean, or Head of Department.
- Proven experience in accreditation, ranking frameworks, outcome-based education, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Strong industry connect and experience in fostering academia-industry collaborations.
