Role Description

The Dean of Physiotherapy will oversee the academic and administrative operations of the Physiotherapy department, ensuring the highest standards of teaching, research, and clinical practice. Responsibilities include curriculum development, faculty mentoring, student engagement, research initiatives, and fostering industry collaborations. The Dean will also ensure compliance with accreditation standards and will promote a culture of innovation and excellence within the department. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruchirappalli.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of physiotherapy concepts and practices, along with experience in teaching and clinical supervision in the field of physiotherapy.
• Strong administrative and leadership skills, with the ability to manage faculty, students, and departmental operations effectively.
• Research aptitude, including the ability to guide research projects, publish academic work, and promote research culture within the department.
• Excellence in communication, mentorship, and interpersonal skills to foster a supportive and professional environment for all stakeholders.
• A doctoral degree in Physiotherapy or a related field and an established track record of academic and professional achievements.
• Familiarity with academic regulations and accreditation standards in higher education institutions.
• Experience in curriculum development and collaboration with industry for enhanced learning opportunities is an added advantage.
• MPT with Ph.D., preferred. Location- Trichy.
