Job Description

Job Title: Dean PGDM

Department: Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)

Reports To: Director / Vice Chancellor / Governing Body

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Job Summary:

The Dean PGDM will provide academic, administrative, and strategic leadership to the PGDM program. The role involves ensuring academic excellence, regulatory compliance (AICTE), industry relevance, faculty development, student outcomes, and continuous improvement of the PGDM curriculum and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Academic Leadership

  • Provide support for functioning of PGDM program in alignment with the institute's vision and mission.
  • Design, review, and upgrade the PGDM curriculum as per AICTE norms and industry requirements.
  • Ensure effective teachinglearning processes, academic planning, and outcome-based education.
  • Monitor academic delivery, evaluation systems, and student performance.

Regulatory & Accreditation Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with AICTE, NBA, and other regulatory/statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate inspections, approvals, audits, and accreditation processes.
  • Prepare and submit required reports, data, and documentation to regulatory bodies.

Faculty Management & Development

  • Mentor, evaluate, and develop faculty members.
  • Promote faculty research, publications, consultancy, FDPs, and certifications.
  • Ensure optimal faculty workload planning and performance appraisal.

Student Development & Placements

  • Oversee, orientation, mentoring, and grievance redressal.
  • Support training & placement initiatives, internships, and industry projects.
  • Encourage student participation in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Industry Interface & Partnerships

  • Build strong industry linkages for internships, live projects, guest lectures, and placements.
  • Establish MoUs with corporates, professional bodies, and academic institutions.
  • Invite industry experts for curriculum inputs and academic advisory boards.

Research, Innovation & Consultancy

  • Promote research culture, innovation, incubation, and entrepreneurship.
  • Facilitate funded research projects, case development, and consultancy assignments.

Eligibility & Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Management or allied discipline from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 15 years of teaching/research/industry experience, including 5 years in a senior academic leadership role (Dean / Director / HOD).
  • Strong understanding of AICTE norms and PGDM regulations.
  • Proven academic leadership and administrative capabilities.
