Job Description

The School of Technology seeks an accomplished academic leader and educator for the position of Dean of Technology / Senior Faculty – CSE. The role combines academic leadership, teaching excellence, research guidance, curriculum development, industry engagement, and institutional development. The ideal candidate will provide strategic direction to the School of Technology while contributing actively to teaching, scholarship, and innovation in Computer Science and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership

  • Provide vision and leadership for the School of Technology.
  • Lead academic planning, program quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Support accreditation, compliance, and academic audits.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

Teaching and Learning

  • Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in CSE and allied areas.
  • Design and update curriculum to meet industry and academic standards.
  • Promote student-centred learning, mentoring, and academic support.
  • Supervise projects, dissertations, and research work.

Research and Scholarship

  • Lead and contribute to high-quality research publications.
  • Encourage interdisciplinary research, funded projects, and patents.
  • Guide faculty and students in research, innovation, and scholarly activity.
  • Build research collaborations with national and international institutions.

Industry and Institutional Engagement

  • Strengthen industry partnerships, internships, and advisory links.
  • Support employability, entrepreneurship, and experiential learning.
  • Represent the School in academic forums, conferences, and strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to institutional branding, outreach, and reputation building.

Faculty Development and Administration

  • Mentor and develop faculty members.
  • Support recruitment, performance review, and academic growth of faculty.
  • Oversee academic scheduling, resource planning, and operational effectiveness.
  • Work closely with leadership to achieve institutional goals.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong academic record with significant teaching and research experience.
  • Minimum [X] years of experience in higher education, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum design, research supervision, and academic administration.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and work in a dynamic academic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as Dean, HoD, Associate Dean, Program Head, or equivalent leadership role.
  • Strong publication record in reputed journals and conferences.
  • Experience in funded research, innovation, and industry collaboration.
  • Familiarity with outcome-based education and accreditation frameworks.
