The Dean / Director of the School of Computer Science & Engineering at Amity University Bengaluru will provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the school, enhancing its reputation for academic excellence and innovation in computer science and engineering education.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and vision for the School of Computer Science & Engineering.
- Develop and implement academic programs, research initiatives, and community engagement activities.
- Foster an environment of innovation and excellence in teaching, research, and service.
- Manage faculty recruitment, development, and evaluation processes.
- Oversee budgetary and resource management for the school.
- Collaborate with industry partners to enhance curriculum and student opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with academic policies and accreditation standards.
- Promote interdisciplinary research and collaboration within the university.
Skills and Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven leadership experience in an academic setting, ideally at the level of department head or higher.
- Strong track record of research and publication in reputable journals.
- Experience in curriculum development and program assessment.
- Ability to engage and inspire faculty, staff, and students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of current trends and advancements in computer science and engineering education.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in academic settings.
