Cloud Advisory & Strategy Lead

Role Summary

The Cloud Advisory & Strategy Lead (AD / SM3) is responsible for leading cloud‑ and AI‑led transformation strategy engagements for global clients. The role focuses on defining enterprise cloud and AI strategy, business cases, operating models, and adoption roadmaps, while partnering closely with Microsoft and other hyperscalers to translate strategy into scalable execution. This is a senior client‑facing role requiring strong advisory capability, executive presence, and practice‑building leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cloud, data, and AI advisory engagements, defining enterprise vision, target state architecture, and transformation roadmaps aligned to business outcomes.
  • Own cloud and AI business cases, including TCO, ROI, FinOps, licensing optimization, and AI value realization.
  • Advise CXO and senior leaders on cloud and AI operating models, including Cloud / AI CoE design, governance, security, risk, and compliance.
  • Shape AI‑enabled cloud strategies, including GenAI and Agentic AI adoption, data platform modernization, and responsible AI guardrails.
  • Define hybrid and multi‑cloud strategies, application portfolio rationalization (6Rs), and modernization across infrastructure, data, and applications.
  • Lead strategy‑led pursuits and pre‑sales, owning cloud and AI advisory workstreams in RFPs and executive presentations.
  • Partner with Microsoft and hyperscaler allianceson joint GTM initiatives, funded programs, and differentiated offerings.
  • Provide strategic oversight as programs move from strategy to execution, ensuring alignment across architecture, data, AI, security, and delivery teams.
  • Build and scale the Cloud & AI Advisory practice, including offerings, accelerators, playbooks, and thought leadership.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 12-15+ years of experience in cloud consulting, IT strategy, enterprise architecture, or digital transformation
  • Strong experience withAzure (preferred)and exposure to AWS / GCP.
  • Proven expertise in cloud strategy, operating models, governance, FinOps, and modernization planning.
  • Experience advising on Data & AI strategy, including modern data platforms, GenAI / Agentic AI use cases, and AI governance.
  • Strong client‑facing, executive communication, and stakeholder managementskills.
  • Experience leading large, cross‑functional, multi‑location teams.

Preferred Certifications

  • Azure Solutions Architect / Azure AI Engineer
  • TOGAF or equivalent architecture frameworks
  • FinOps Practitioner (preferred)
