Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced
Snowflake Data Engineer with strong expertise in
data warehousing, data pipelines, and cloud-based data platforms. The candidate should have hands-on experience in
Snowflake, SQL, ETL/ELT development, and cloud environments such as AWS/Azure. The role involves designing scalable data pipelines, optimizing Snowflake workloads, and enabling analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Snowflake.
- Build and optimize data models and data warehouses in Snowflake.
- Develop efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and transformations.
- Implement data ingestion pipelines from multiple sources such as APIs, databases, and files.
- Work with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) for data integration and storage.
- Optimize Snowflake performance, clustering, and query tuning.
- Implement data security, role-based access control (RBAC), and governance in Snowflake.
- Collaborate with data analysts, BI teams, and business stakeholders to support reporting and analytics.
- Ensure data quality, monitoring, and pipeline reliability.
- Follow best practices for data architecture, version control, and CI/CD.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Snowflake Data Warehouse.
- Expertise in SQL and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools such as:
- Informatica
- DBT
- Matillion
- Talend
- Azure Data Factory
- Experience in data modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Dimensional Modeling).
- Knowledge of data ingestion techniques (Batch & Streaming).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with Python or scripting for automation.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Snowflake features:
- Snowpipe
- Streams & Tasks
- Time Travel
- Data Sharing
- Knowledge of data lake architectures.
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or related field.
