Performance & Scalability
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks (dashboard load time, refresh delays).
- Optimize extracts, schedules, and concurrency handling.
- Recommend scaling approach (vertical/horizontal) based on usage patterns.
Environment Readiness
- Ensure Tableau environment meets production-grade standards.
- Support go-live readiness (QC, stability checks, validation).
- Define backup, restore, and monitoring strategy.
Permissions & Governance
- Design role-based permission model (Creators, Explorers, Viewers).
- Define project and content organization standards.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Tableau Platform Architecture
- Design and recommend Tableau Server architecture on AWS for 30+ users.
- Assess and optimize Tableau Server sizing (CPU, memory, storage).
- Configure Tableau Server processes (VizQL, Backgrounder, Hyper, etc.) for optimal performance.
- Advise on Dev vs Prod architecture and readiness.
Qualifications
- Experience with AWS services (EC2, EBS, S3, Load Balancers)
- Tableau Server upgrades and migration experience
- Familiarity with enterprise authentication (AD/SSO)
