Key Responsibilities:
Control Room Operations
- Monitor plant processes and equipment using the DCS system.
- Operate, control, and regulate plant processes to maintain production targets.
- Respond to alarms and abnormal situations promptly and take corrective actions.
Process Monitoring & Optimization
- Track operational parameters and maintain process efficiency.
- Adjust process variables to optimize production and ensure quality standards.
- Analyze trends and provide recommendations for process improvements.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and operational regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and take preventive measures to avoid accidents.
- Follow SOPs, emergency procedures, and operational protocols at all times.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate logs of operational activities, process changes, and incidents.
- Prepare shift reports and communicate key information to management and other shifts.
- Assist in audits, inspections, and compliance documentation.
Team Collaboration & Support
- Coordinate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to resolve operational issues.
- Train and mentor junior operators to enhance team competency.
- Support process improvement initiatives and technical projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field.
- 712 years of experience as a DCS Operator in industrial plants (power, chemical, oil & gas, or manufacturing).
- Strong knowledge of DCS systems, process instrumentation, and control operations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in monitoring tools, reporting systems, and MS Office.
