Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure components including networking, security, API gateways, and identity management as per platform architecture specifications.
  • Build, operate, and optimize reliable, scalable, and secure platform services to support integration workloads.
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code practices using Terraform to ensure reproducible and efficient cloud provisioning.
  • Optimize cloud costs through tagging policies, budgeting, reporting, and cost management best practices.
  • Design and implement observability and monitoring pipelines for platform services.
  • Collaborate with product, SRE, and platform teams to define operational standards, SLAs, and compliance guardrails.
  • Automate platform operations and repetitive tasks to enable self-service capabilities for internal teams.
  • Ensure security, governance, and compliance across all Azure workloads.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for critical cloud platform components.
  • Develop, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cloud operations, platform services, and incident response.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for incidents, performance issues, and outages, and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve platform reliability.

Skills Required:

  • Strong experience working as a Cloud Engineer or Platform Engineer in Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Azure services including networking, security, API gateways, identity, and access management.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
  • Experience working with containerized and cloud-native workloads such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), App Services, and Azure Functions.
  • Strong understanding of API-based architectures and microservices deployments.
  • Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using tools such as Elastic Stack, Log Analytics, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Knowledge of cloud security, governance, and compliance practices across Azure workloads.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and Git for source control, CI/CD pipelines, and collaboration.
  • Understanding of cloud cost management, optimization, tagging policies, and budgeting practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive actions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product, SRE, and platform teams.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to operate in complex, multi-team environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with multi-region and high-availability Azure deployments using Traffic Manager and Availability Zones.
  • Exposure to regulated or compliance-driven environments such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, or ISO 27001.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with middleware and messaging technologies like Kafka, TIBCO, APIGEE, or GoAnywhere.
  • Knowledge of self-service platforms and automation tools such as Backstage, Azure Logic Apps, or Power Automate.

Education:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
