About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and performance-driven L2 Network Engineer to support
enterprise Data Center and campus network environments. The ideal candidate must have
strong hands-on experience in VXLAN, Cisco ACI, network monitoring tools, and ITSM
processes. The role requires operational excellence, proactive monitoring, and adherence to
SLA-driven support models.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 operational support for Enterprise LAN/WAN/Data Center networks.
- Perform hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of VXLAN-based environments.
- Support and manage Cisco ACI fabric, including policies, tenants, EPGs, contracts, and
fabric troubleshooting.
- Monitor network health and performance using SolarWinds and other monitoring tools.
- Handle incidents, service requests, changes, and problem tickets via ServiceNow in
alignment with ITIL framework.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate network inventory, asset records, and documentation.
- Ensure proper data management and configuration backups.
- Coordinate with L3 teams, OEM vendors, and cross-functional teams for issue resolution.
- Participate in change implementation and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with SLA/KPI targets and security standards.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with VXLAN (configuration & troubleshooting).
- Working knowledge of Cisco ACI architecture and operations.
- Solid understanding of Routing & Switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLAN, STP, HSRP, etc.).
- Experience in Data Center Networking concepts.
- Practical exposure to SolarWinds monitoring tool.
- Experience working on ServiceNow ITSM platform.
- Knowledge of network inventory management and asset lifecycle management.
- Good understanding of network documentation and data handling practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification such as CCNA / CCNP / ACI Certification preferred.
- ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
- Exposure to Firewalls / Load Balancers will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, SLA-driven enterprise environment.
