We at Coforge are hiring a DBT Technical Lead with the following skillset:
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Develop, enhance, and manage DBT models and data transformations.
- Perform data cleansing, validation, and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Support cloudbased data engineering workloads, preferably on GCP.
- Write optimized SQL queries for analytical use cases and data processing.
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Architects to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Monitor data pipeline health, proactively troubleshoot issues, and ensure high data availability.
- Document data workflows, models, mappings, and technical processes clearly and consistently.
Required Skills (MustHave)
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including Star and Snowflake schemas.
- Advanced SQL proficiency for data analysis and transformation.
- Handson experience with DBT for data transformation and modeling.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform: GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, GCS preferred), or AWS / Azure with equivalent data services.
- Experience with data transformation and data loading technologies.
- Good working knowledge of Python for data engineering and analytical tasks.
Good to Have
- PySpark or similar distributed data processing experience.
- Exposure to Airflow / Cloud Composer. Experience with Data Catalog / Dataplex (or similar metadata services).
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and version-controlled workflows.
