Key Responsibilities

• Creation of databases on ExaCC, AWS RDS, AWS EC2, AWS ExaCC, and Azure ExaCC.
• Work with security and other internal teams to ensure database auditing and reporting is enabled.
• Work with architects and data management to ensure data retention is properly set.
• Identify and resolve issues with SQL performance and database connectivity.
• Work with the backup team to set up Backup Policies/SLAs based on stakeholder requirements.
• Interact with engineering team for new infrastructure deployments and design changes.
• Coordinate and perform database upgrades and hardware patching with Oracle Support.
• Conduct Ransomware drills twice a year, including all databases restored in the clean room.
• Support Ransomware, Anomaly Detection, Cyber recovery, and Data threat analytics in the databases.
• Demonstrate good understanding of automation tools and scripting, including Perl, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, and API integrations.
• Follow Change Management procedures for all production-level changes within the enterprise environment, write backout plans, and execute changes.
• Review new solutions and upcoming projects.
• Maintain knowledge on auditing, encryption, and masking.
• Contribute to the development of strategies, policies, and best practices through participation in team meetings and other direct contributions.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
• Hold professional certification in Oracle database technologies, Oracle Linux OS technologies, or others (preferred).
• Engage in engineering phases of database software and related technology solutions delivery including planning, design, build, testing, and transition to operational support.
• Perform Oracle database software installations, maintenance, and product upgrades in a 24x7 high availability environment.
• Collaborate with Cloud team, Application team, Production Support team, and Oracle Support to ensure production systems are maintained in optimal configuration.
