Job Title

Technical Lead – SQL Server Migration

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end migration execution. Coordinate activities across DBA, development, QA, and infrastructure teams.
• Define migration runbooks and cutover plans. Conduct technical assessments and risk analysis.
• Review application dependencies and compatibility with RDS.
• Lead migration rehearsals and production cutovers.
• Ensure adherence to architecture and security standards.
• Monitor project quality, timelines, and deliverables. Resolve complex technical issues during migration.
• Facilitate stakeholder communication and status reporting.
  
  

Required Skills

• 8+ years of SQL Server experience.
• 5+ years of technical leadership experience.
• Hands-on AWS cloud migration experience.    
• Strong understanding of:
• AWS RDS SQL Server
• AWS DMS
• EC2-based SQL deployments
• High Availability and Disaster Recovery
• Performance Optimization
• Experience with Agile project delivery.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certification.
• Experience leading enterprise cloud migration programs.

Contract Details

This is a 2.5-month contract / consultant opportunity with a budget of up to 2.25 lakh per month, depending on relevant experience and technical expertise.
