We are looking for an experienced DB2 Database Administrator (Mainframe) to manage, maintain, and optimize DB2 databases on z/OS environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring database stability, performance, and scalability across enterprise systems while supporting development and production environments.

• Administer, maintain, and optimize DB2 for z/OS databases.
• Perform database design, schema creation, and SQL optimization.
• Manage DB2 utilities such as REORG, RUNSTATS, COPY, and LOAD.
• Conduct backup, recovery, and performance tuning activities.
• Implement and enforce database security and user access policies.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams for deployments and upgrades.
• Monitor database health and perform capacity planning.
• Execute DB2 version upgrades, patches, and maintenance.
• Automate routine DBA tasks using JCL, REXX, or CLIST.
• Provide 24x7 production support and participate in disaster recovery testing.

• Strong experience with IBM DB2 for z/OS (v11 or above).
• Proficiency in SQL, DDL/DML scripting, and stored procedures.
• Familiarity with SPUFI, QMF, FileAid, BMC, CA Tools, or IBM DB2 Admin Tool.
• Working knowledge of JCL, TSO/ISPF, and RACF security.
• Hands-on experience with performance monitoring tools like Omegamon or Mainview.
• Understanding of COBOL-DB2 integration and application performance tuning.
• Exposure to DevOps automation or scripting for DB2 operations is a plus.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• IBM Certified Database Administrator DB2 for z/OS preferred.
• Experience supporting large-scale, mission-critical systems.
