About the Role
We are seeking an experienced DB2 Administrator (L3) to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise IBM DB2 database environments. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in DB2 UDB, DPF, Q Replication, database administration, performance tuning, backup & recovery, and high availability while supporting mission-critical production systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain IBM DB2 database environments.
- Install, configure, patch, and upgrade DB2 databases.
- Perform database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies.
- Create and maintain database objects including tables, indexes, and schemas.
- Support development, QA, UAT, and production deployments.
- Perform capacity planning and preventive database maintenance.
- Configure and manage database security, user roles, and permissions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide Level-3 database support.
- Work with application, infrastructure, and support teams to resolve complex database issues.
- Support High Availability (HADR) and Replication environments.
- Participate in 24x7 production support and on-call rotation.
