Job Description

  • Proven experience in database administration and migration, with a strong focus on Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MSSQL databases.
  • Extensive experience with on-premises to on-premises and on-premises to cloud migrations.
  • Experience in heterogeneous database migration, particularly between Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MSSQL.
  • Need good experience in AWS Devops, Terraform, Iacs, EKS.

Tools & Technologies

  • Proficient in using database migration tools such as AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), Ora2Pg, and Striim.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their database services.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of database schemas, structures, and query optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills to articulate migration strategies and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Certifications:
  • Relevant certifications in Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, or cloud platforms (AWS Certified Database Specialty, Azure Database Administrator, etc.) are a plus.
