Job Description
Seeking a skilled ETL Senior Developer specializing in IBM DataStage to support monitor and maintain ETL processes used across Finance and Regulatory Reporting functions. The role involves maintenance production support job monitoring troubleshooting performance optimization and working closely with upstream and downstream teams to ensure timely accurate and compliant data processing.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor DataStage Director and Operations Console to ensure smooth execution of daily monthly and quarterly ETL workloads. Manage job schedules using Huntington Bank enterprise scheduling tools Zena. Ensure adherence to SLAs for all Finance and Regulatory Reporting job cycles.
Provide L2 and L3 support for ETL job failures including error analysis and timely restarts. Perform root cause analysis for incidents such as source file corruption network connectivity drops and database locks or deadlocks. Document incident recovery steps and preventive actions.
Debug and support issues caused by upstream system defects or downstream application failures even if outside pure ETL scope. Work cross functionally to ensure data lineage dependencies and integrations remain stable. Support ETL execution across Dev QA Stage and Production environments.
Collaborate with Infrastructure teams to maintain IBM InfoSphere Information Server IIS platform health. Manage environment level configurations parameter sets and shared containers. Promote DataStage code DSX and ISX across environments following Huntington change management process. Validate ETL components during deployment and support post migration testing.
Assist in patching fix packs and version upgrades of the IIS DataStage platform. Support approval workflows for DataStage project access and environment level privileges. Coordinate with IAM teams for provisioning deprovisioning and periodic access reviews.
Perform periodic job health checks to identify high latency or long running ETL workloads. Optimize DataStage jobs through efficient use of partitioning techniques including Hash Range Entire and Auto along with buffer tuning memory configurations and parallel processing best practices.
Work with DBAs to maintain performance of source and target databases by ensuring indexes are updated statistics are refreshed and tablespace or storage issues are resolved.
