Help lead and manage project ETL assignments across multiple projects and multiple ETL developers, both onshore and offshore
Design, develop, and test ETL processes per project Business Decision Documents (BDD's), following the development standards and best practices
Work directly with ERP SME's and business users to translate requirements into technical specifications, data definitions, transformation logic, data flows and ETL processes
Work with data architects and BI developers to architect ETL solutions that meet the business needs
Participate in code peer reviews with peers and support teams to ensure ETL applications and code process comply with Gates best practices
Working closely with other onshore and offshore project developers to collaborate on ETL solutions assist and mentor junior offshore developers as needed
Qualifications/Skills
Informatica PowerCenter Development: 10+ years of experience minimum but likely more (most recent experience should be with PowerCenter ver. 10.x)
Strong database and SQL skills with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server and/or Teradata (Teradata preferred)
Expert knowledge in developing ETL/ELT(using Informatica PDO) and data integration solutions using Informatica PowerCenter utilizing ETL standards and best practices
Strong understanding of entire BI Analytics Environments/Toolsets, Data Warehouse Architecture and Design and Master Data Management concepts
Some knowledge of BI reporting and dashboarding tools such as Power BI, Cognos, Tableau or like tools
Ability to engage both business and technical teams
Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and global acumen necessary to work as a part of a global and diverse team
A high attention to detail along with solid problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to manage multiple project deliverables at once without missing deadlines
Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with other teams at Gates to understand and troubleshoot issues (ex. working with Oracle SME to understand how to source and transform data to meet the requirements)
