Databricks Data Engineer | About You

As a Databricks Data Engineer, you are responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions that enable analytics, reporting, and advanced data use cases. You have strong experience working with Databricks and modern cloud data platforms, and you take pride in delivering high‑quality, reliable data. You enjoy collaborating with cross‑functional teams, including analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders, to translate data needs into technical solutions. You are detail‑oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in complex data environments. You continuously seek opportunities to improve data architecture, performance, and reliability.

Databricks Data Engineer | Day-to-Day

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark.
• Build and optimize ETL and ELT processes to ingest, transform, and curate data from multiple sources.
• Develop and maintain data models to support analytics, reporting, and downstream consumption.
• Collaborate with analytics, data science, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver trusted data solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Implement data quality checks, validation processes, and error‑handling frameworks.
• Document data pipelines, architecture, and operational procedures to support maintainability and knowledge sharing.

Databricks Solution Architect (Data Platform & AI) | Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data development, or a related technical role.
• Hands‑on experience building solutions with Databricks and Apache Spark.
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python or Scala for data processing and automation.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, data warehousing, and lakehouse architectures.
• Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and production data support practices.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
