We are seeking a highly experienced SQL Database Administrator and Database Architect with strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, along with handson experience in PostgreSQL and MongoDB. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing database architectures across multiple platforms while ensuring high availability, performance, security, and scalability of enterprise-grade data systems.
Responsibilities
Database Administration (SQL Server / PostgreSQL / MongoDB)
Install, configure, upgrade, and manage SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB environments.
Perform regular database health checks, tuning, and optimization of queries, indexes, and performance parameters.
Manage backup/restore strategies, disaster recovery solutions, and high availability setups
Database Architecture & Design.
Design scalable and highperforming database solutions aligned with application and business needs.
Provide guidance on database best practices, capacity planning, partitioning strategies, and large data volume optimizations.
Development & Automation
Support development teams with stored procedures, functions, triggers, and performance tuning.
Implement automation for maintenance tasks using scripts
Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD execution involving database components.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting
Troubleshoot production issues including query performance, deadlocks, blocking, replication lag, and failovers.
Use advanced monitoring tools such as Dynatrace
Required Skills & Experience
812+ years of handson DBA and database architecture experience.
Proficiency in scripting languages: TSQL, PL/pgSQL, PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Understanding of Azure cloud database services.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
