Database Specialist

We are seeking a Database Specialist Freshers to manage and optimise the loading of data into our databases. This role will be critical in ensuring data integrity, performance, and timely updates. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database systems, ETL processes, and data transformation techniques

Responsibilities

1.        Data Loading:

a)        Design and implement efficient data loading processes for various databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).

b)        Monitor and optimise the performance of data load activities.

2.        ETL Processes:

a)        Develop, maintain, and optimise ETL processes to ensure accurate data migration and transformation.

3.        Data Quality Assurance:

a)        Conduct data validation and integrity checks post-load to ensure accuracy.

b)        Identify and resolve data discrepancies or issues.

4.        Collaboration:

a)        Work closely with data analysts, database administrators, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure successful implementation.

b)        Participate in cross-functional teams to support data-driven projects.

5.      Troubleshooting:

a)        Diagnose and resolve issues related to data loading and database performance.

b)        Implement solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.

Essential Skills 

• Experience in database management, understanding of data loading, or ETL processes.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with various open-source database systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with data integration tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to data quality.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Experience with cloud database solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, PHP) for data manipulation.
• Understanding of data security and compliance requirements.
