Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Database Platform Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join a high-performing team responsible for designing, automating, and managing large-scale database platforms. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in database administration, platform engineering, automation, cloud technologies, and reliability engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure database platforms

Implement SRE best practices including monitoring, alerting, incident management, and reliability improvements

Automate database provisioning, deployments, patching, backup, and recovery processes

Ensure database performance, availability, scalability, and security across environments

Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or similar tools

Collaborate with Development, Cloud, and Operations teams to optimize platform reliability

Conduct root cause analysis and drive permanent fixes for production issues

Implement observability solutions, dashboards, and proactive monitoring strategies

Required Skills

Strong experience in Database Administration (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, or MongoDB)

Hands-on experience in SRE, Platform Engineering, or Production Support environments

Expertise in Linux/Unix Administration

Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell, or PowerShell

Experience with Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

Knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, or other Infrastructure Automation tools

Experience with Monitoring & Observability tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or ELK

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills

Preferred Skills

Experience with Kubernetes and Container Platforms

Knowledge of Database Security and Compliance Standards

Exposure to High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and Backup Solutions

Banking, Financial Services, or Enterprise-scale production support experience
