The Impact you will have in this role:

The Database Administrator will provide database administrative support for all DTCC environments including Development, QA, client test, and our critical high availability production environment and DR Data Centers. Extensive knowledge on all aspects of Oracle database administration and the ability to support other database platforms including both Aurora PostgreSQL and MSSQL-Server. This DBA will have a high level of impact in the creation of new processes and solutions, while operating under established procedures and processes in a mission critical Financial Services infrastructure environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
• Strong Oracle knowledge of 19c, 21c and 22c.

Talents Needed for Success:

• Software installation and patching
• Database creation and configuration
• Support development, QA, PSE, and Production environments using ServiceNow ticketing system.
• Review production performance reports for variances from normal operation
• Maintain database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters implementing new releases completing maintenance requirements evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products.
• Provide 2^nd and 3^rd level support for DTCC critical production environments.
• Participate in root cause analysis for database issues.
• Supports database functions by designing and coding utilities.
• Prepare users by conducting training providing information and resolving problems.
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops reviewing professional publications establishing personal networks benchmarking state-of-the-art practices participating in professional societies.
• Will have shared responsibility for off-hour support.
• Recommending and implementing database backup, recovery, and redundancy strategies
• Provide leadership and direction for the Architecture, Design, Maintenance and L1 and L2 Level Support of a 7 x 24 global infrastructure.
