The impact you will have in this role:

The Database Engineer will be responsible for building data pipelines using their deep knowledge of Talend or any ETL tool, write complex SQL and perform Data Analysis on the Snowflake data warehouse for Business Intelligence. As a data engineer you develop, test, and support the data warehouse objects that are part of the assigned projects.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

As part of the DWH team, the candidate is responsible for:

• Working on and leading engineering and development focused projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
• Ensuring the data loads are successful in lower environments to support testing efforts.
• Providing technical and operational support for our customer base as well as other technical areas within the company.
• Risk management functions such as reconciliation of vulnerabilities, security baselines as well as other risk and audit related requirements.
• Administrative functions for our tools such as keeping the tool documentation up-to-date and handling service requests.
• Ensuring incident, problem and change tickets are addressed in a timely fashion, as well as escalating technical and managerial issues.
• Following DTCC's ITIL process for incident, change and problem resolution.

Talents Needed for Success:

• Minimum of 4 years of related experience
• Expertise in SQL (shown ability to work on complex queries).
• Strong knowledge of Databases objects like Stored Procedures, Functions, Tasks, Streams, etc. in Snowflake and Oracle
• Expertise in ETL concepts and ETL tools like Talend, EDI, DataStage, Informatica, etc.
• Strong understanding of star/snowflake schemas and Enterprise Data Integration concepts
• Good understanding of data-modeling concepts and the ability to come up with data models using the Erwin tool.
• Good communications skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to effectively collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to ensure end to end support for design, implementation, and operations.
• Ability to facilitate the implementation of new solutions or technologies and providing subject matter expertise in an educational and supportive manner.
• Experience using the following tools: GIT, Bit Bucket, Jira, Maven, Jenkins, etc.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in Python preferred.
• Familiar with Snowpark API.
