Database Engineer II

Key Deliverables

1. Provision, manage, and monitor Relational/NoSQL database clusters in cloud and on-prem environments.
2. Design and implement best practices for backup, DR, provisioning, tuning, and cost optimization.
3. Collaborate with engineering teams to automate scalable, secure, and high-performance database solutions.
4. Support incident management, conduct R&D on emerging tech, and participate in on-call rotations.

Role Responsibilities

1. Manage multiple database technologies including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and ElasticSearch.
2. Use Python to develop automation scripts and manage infrastructure via Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible.
3. Operate within Linux/Unix environments and optimize systems based on networking and TCP/IP knowledge.
4. Provide technical guidance to internal teams on database performance, scalability, and security.
