We are seeking a skilled Database Engineer with 5 years of experience to join our remote team in India. This role is critical in designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance database systems that support our enterprise applications and client projects.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize database systems to ensure high availability and performance.
- Implement robust data models, schemas, and architectures to support business requirements.
- Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as backups, recovery, and patching.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate database solutions seamlessly with applications.
- Maintain data security, integrity, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Skills & QualificationsMust-Have
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL database technologies
- Experience with database design, data modeling, and performance tuning
- Knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills in English
Preferred
- Experience with cloud database services such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL
- Certifications related to database management (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate)
