Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Database Developer with strong expertise in SQL Server and exposure to Azure-based data solutions. The role involves designing, developing, optimizing, and managing database systems while collaborating closely with business and development teams to deliver scalable and efficient data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business analysts and development teams to gather and understand functional requirements
- Design and develop database schemas aligned with product architecture and business needs
- Develop and maintain database objects such as stored procedures, functions, triggers, and scripts
- Optimize database performance by fine-tuning queries and improving execution efficiency
- Build conceptual and logical data models to support business requirements
- Design and implement ETL processes to handle and transform incoming data
- Manage database migrations across platforms (e.g., SQL Server, Azure, Snowflake)
- Support QA teams in creating test plans and test cases for database validation
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues during development and post-deployment
- Ensure data quality, code quality, and proper testing strategies are followed
- Mentor junior team members and review code artifacts
- Work as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred)
- 6+ years of experience in SQL development and database design
- Strong expertise in MS SQL Server (Database Design & Development)
- Hands-on experience with MSBI (SSIS)
- Good understanding of Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, and pipelines
- Experience with Snowflake cloud data platform
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Experience with Python
- Exposure to Databricks
- Experience in Financial Services domain
