About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-focused Database Analyst to support data operations, reporting, and system efficiency across multiple business functions. This role is ideal for someone with strong SQL expertise who enjoys working with large datasets, improving database structures, and delivering actionable insights through data analysis.
As a Database Analyst, you will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations teams to maintain reliable data systems, enhance reporting processes, and enable smarter decision-making through accurate and accessible data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for reporting and analysis.
- Analyze database schemas and recommend improvements for scalability and efficiency.
- Monitor data quality, consistency, and integrity across systems.
- Improve query performance through indexing, partitioning, and tuning techniques.
- Build dashboards, reports, and data extracts for internal stakeholders.
- Support data migration, validation, and transformation initiatives.
- Troubleshoot database issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business data needs.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in database analysis, data operations, or database administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar.
- Solid understanding of joins, subqueries, views, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with normalization, constraints, indexing, and schema design principles.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Knowledge of Python, ETL pipelines, or data warehousing concepts.
- Exposure to cloud databases or modern analytics platforms.
